DESCRIPTION:Open Studio Day in conjunction with Thurlow Hall Open Gardens:  Sunday 12 April 2.00 – 5.00pm  \nWe open our studios and gallery several times a year\, free of charge. \nTake a look around our studios\n• See the historic presses\n• View the exhibition on show in the gallery\n• Demonstrations of printmaking techniques\n• Chat with tutors\n• Cards\, rare vintage fine art paper\, pigments & prints for sale. \nEveryone welcome \nWe welcome everyone with free parking adjacent and are wheelchair accessible. Those interested in art and printmaking whether creating or collecting prints\, would like to view our archive collection\, like to see printmaking demonstrations on historic presses or if you simply would like to come and see what happens in our studios you would be most welcome. \nYou can include a visit to Thurlow Hall Gardens as part of the National Garden Scheme for a small fee for charity. Stroll around the beautiful gardens which are only open to the public three afternoons each year. Then\, after your lovely walk around the gardens\, treat yourself and enjoy a spot of tea and homemade cake in the sunshine.

SUMMARY:Sudbury Open Studios Art Trail
DESCRIPTION:Eleven local artists and makers in and around Sudbury will be opening their studios and sharing their creativity as part of an Art trail over the weekend of 14th and 15th June .You’ll be able to see the artists in their workplaces and talk to them about what has inspired them and the processes involved in making their work. There’s also the opportunity to buy direct from the artists\, with a wide variety of 3D work\, prints\, paintings and artists’ cards on sale. \nWhile youre here make sure to take time to explore this historic market town. There are plenty of coffee shops and don’t miss visiting the National Centre for Gainsborough at Gainsborough’s House Museum with its historic house and fabulous new galleries and cafe.\nRelax in any of the welcoming coffee bars dotted all around the town or if you feel like a walk\, the Mill Tye Gallery is just a pleasant stroll away along the riverside path.

SUMMARY:A Solo exhibition of abstract art by Ruth Lyne
DESCRIPTION:A solo exhibition of abstract paintings and mixed media art by Ruth Lyne at The Craft House in Woodbridge\, part of Suffolk Open Studios.\n\nWeekdays – 9.30am to 4pmSaturday and Sunday – 9.30 to 5pm\n\nThe exhibition will feature a new collection of artwork inspired by the river Deben both in Woodbridge and where it meets the North Sea at Felixstowe Ferry.\nThere will also be a selection of paintings inspired by the colours and textures of the coast. I don’t try to recreate the natural world in my art work\, instead I want to create an image that evokes the feeling of walking by the sea and watching the waves with the wind at your face.\nPlease call in to see the exhibition and maybe have a chat with me about the art.
