Come away with some exciting creations and an experience you will be talking about for years to come. \nMaximum of 7 places available per workshop. Contact us to arrange a date if you would like an exclusive workshop for groups of 3-7 people (these are also available at weekends on request). \nWhat’s involved?\nThere is minimal demonstrating from us during this workshop. Our goal is to get you involved and steam bending within a very short time of arriving. You will experiment with steam bending under our supervision and learn about the possibilities and limitations of the Oak wood through your own creations. \nThe day will be spent experimenting and also creating your own stylish wooden tray. You will have the creative freedom to make the piece you are working on unique to you through the numerous options available on the day. \nPrepare to be amazed each time the initially solid Oak curves and twists before your eyes. \nWe hope you will end the day amazed by not only the capabilities of the unique technique of steam bending but by the creations you are taking home with you. \nAll materials and equipment is supplied. \n

DESCRIPTION:Eleven local artists and makers in and around Sudbury will be opening their studios and sharing their creativity as part of an Art trail over the weekend of 14th and 15th June .You’ll be able to see the artists in their workplaces and talk to them about what has inspired them and the processes involved in making their work. There’s also the opportunity to buy direct from the artists\, with a wide variety of 3D work\, prints\, paintings and artists’ cards on sale. \nWhile youre here make sure to take time to explore this historic market town. There are plenty of coffee shops and don’t miss visiting the National Centre for Gainsborough at Gainsborough’s House Museum with its historic house and fabulous new galleries and cafe.\nRelax in any of the welcoming coffee bars dotted all around the town or if you feel like a walk\, the Mill Tye Gallery is just a pleasant stroll away along the riverside path.

DESCRIPTION:BEYOND THE IMAGE OPEN EXHIBITION – YOUR ART\, OUR WALLS! \nWHAT: it’s our 20th anniversary\, and to celebrate we are inviting you to share our exhibition space for a whole month!  We want to see your art on our walls\, so if you’ve never exhibited before but always thought about it\, used to exhibit and always wondered why you stopped\, want the challenge of creating something beautiful for everyone to see\, or know someone who should be exhibiting\, then this is for you! \nWHEN: 1st of August to the 31st of August inclusive.  The gallery will be open on Fridays\, Saturdays and Sundays during this period. \nWHERE: Beyond the Image Gallery\, Thornham Walks\, Suffolk. \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION: \n\nPlease only 1 piece of work per person – we have limited space and want as many people as possible to join in.\nThere is a size limit of A2 including frame.\nWe have a small area for 3D work so all artists are welcome.\nCost per piece is £5\, exhibiting fees will go towards the running of the gallery – we are a not-for-profit organisation so all donations are very welcome.\nWe are happy to offer your work for sale and charge 0% commission!\nWe are hosting an exhibitors’ PARTY on Sunday the 3rd of August.  Bring your friends and family to celebrate your exhibition and our 20th anniversary.  There will be live music\, drinks and nibbles so the more the merrier!  Full details to be released closer to the time\, but save the date.\nBuying a space for a loved one who deserves to have their work seen is not only within the rules\, but encouraged.\nWork for the exhibition is to be dropped off at the gallery on the 25th\, 26th or 27th of July.  Unsold work\, or work not offered for sale\, to be collected on the 5th\, 6th or 7th of September.\nClosing date for submissions is Sunday the 20th of July if not already full.\n\nINTERESTED?  Email gemmabtigallery@gmail.com with details of the piece of work that you would like to submit.  We’ll assess it (we’re a family friendly gallery\, and reserve the right to refuse work if we think something may cause offence!)\, make sure we’ve got space\, and let you know if you’ll be joining us with more information and instructions. \n

SUMMARY:CPSC: A Study in Lithography
DESCRIPTION:An opportunity to study Lithography in depth.  The aim of the course is to provide a structured syllabus throughout a twelve-month period which seeks to give participants a firm technical grounding in the techniques of lithography on stone\, alongside the opportunity to experience a diverse range of intermediate and advanced techniques in Stone Lithography.  This includes 12 x studio days\, exhibition hanging day\, Exhibition Opening & Private View\, plus the opportunity for further studio days. \nDuration: \nFebruary – December 2026 commencing with a 3 day introductory course followed by one taught day per month for 9 months\, a day hanging the end of course exhibition\, and an exhibition opening and private view day.
