SUMMARY:20th Anniversary Open Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:BEYOND THE IMAGE OPEN EXHIBITION – YOUR ART\, OUR WALLS! \nWHAT: it’s our 20th anniversary\, and to celebrate we are inviting you to share our exhibition space for a whole month!  We want to see your art on our walls\, so if you’ve never exhibited before but always thought about it\, used to exhibit and always wondered why you stopped\, want the challenge of creating something beautiful for everyone to see\, or know someone who should be exhibiting\, then this is for you! \nWHEN: 1st of August to the 31st of August inclusive.  The gallery will be open on Fridays\, Saturdays and Sundays during this period. \nWHERE: Beyond the Image Gallery\, Thornham Walks\, Suffolk. \nIMPORTANT INFORMATION: \n\nPlease only 1 piece of work per person – we have limited space and want as many people as possible to join in.\nThere is a size limit of A2 including frame.\nWe have a small area for 3D work so all artists are welcome.\nCost per piece is £5\, exhibiting fees will go towards the running of the gallery – we are a not-for-profit organisation so all donations are very welcome.\nWe are happy to offer your work for sale and charge 0% commission!\nWe are hosting an exhibitors’ PARTY on Sunday the 3rd of August.  Bring your friends and family to celebrate your exhibition and our 20th anniversary.  There will be live music\, drinks and nibbles so the more the merrier!  Full details to be released closer to the time\, but save the date.\nBuying a space for a loved one who deserves to have their work seen is not only within the rules\, but encouraged.\nWork for the exhibition is to be dropped off at the gallery on the 25th\, 26th or 27th of July.  Unsold work\, or work not offered for sale\, to be collected on the 5th\, 6th or 7th of September.\nClosing date for submissions is Sunday the 20th of July if not already full.\n\nINTERESTED?  Email gemmabtigallery@gmail.com with details of the piece of work that you would like to submit.  We’ll assess it (we’re a family friendly gallery\, and reserve the right to refuse work if we think something may cause offence!)\, make sure we’ve got space\, and let you know if you’ll be joining us with more information and instructions. \n

DESCRIPTION:An opportunity to study Lithography in depth.  The aim of the course is to provide a structured syllabus throughout a twelve-month period which seeks to give participants a firm technical grounding in the techniques of lithography on stone\, alongside the opportunity to experience a diverse range of intermediate and advanced techniques in Stone Lithography.  This includes 12 x studio days\, exhibition hanging day\, Exhibition Opening & Private View\, plus the opportunity for further studio days. \nDuration: \nFebruary – December 2026 commencing with a 3 day introductory course followed by one taught day per month for 9 months\, a day hanging the end of course exhibition\, and an exhibition opening and private view day. DESCRIPTION:Description  \nOne day a week on a Monday\, for 31 weeks\, over 3 terms\, starting on 02 March 2026.  All days 10 – 4.00. \nLead Tutor with additional specialist tutors throughout the course.An opportunity to study printmaking in depth to achieve the Curwen Print Study Centre Certificate (in Fine Art Printmaking). An introduction to diverse printmaking methods\, techniques\, and approaches. \nHigh level of technical support and individual tuition\, enabling students to gain competence in a range of processes while exploring and developing their own creative ideas. \nPlanned personal development days with tutor support\, to revisit techniques and develop your own work. \nLimited currently to 8 students\, ensuring good access to equipment and bespoke tuition. Depending on numbers\, for some techniques the participants may be split into 2 groups. \nContinuous feedback and mentoring throughout the course from tutors and end-of-term assessments for all 3 terms by the Lead Tutor. \n £1250 per Term for Terms 1 & 2\, £1500 for Term 3.  Course fees are to be paid before the start of each term.

Those interested in art and printmaking whether creating or collecting prints\, would like to view our archive collection\, like to see printmaking demonstrations on historic presses or if you simply would like to come and see what happens in our studios you would be most welcome.
