A quick introduction post, hi I’m Janice (@church. A quick introduction post, hi I’m Janice (@church.cottage.studio ) and I’m helping out with the social media for this years open studios.
My aim is to feature as many of the 2026 exhibitors as possible both with this kind of ‘follow’ post and with featured posts/collaborative posts.
So far I’ve discovered what a friendly bunch you are on instagram so I just wanted to encourage the participants for 2026 to follow the other members and follow back. The aim being to build your own account so we can spread the word and encourage visitors. These teasers will give the visitors an insight into the high quality of work in the county and ask them to check out the Instagram accounts of our artists directly.
More information will be coming your way weekly to help you use instagram to find and share the beautiful art on show. Click on the image and follow the links to discover these four artists.

Michelle Watson is a Suffolk-based figurative pain Michelle Watson is a Suffolk-based figurative painter whose work explores the modern female experience with power and sensitivity. In her paintings, reality and abstraction sit side by side. Classical figuration meets contemporary mark-making, and subtle brushstrokes shape isolated female forms that feel both strong and vulnerable.

Her work captures beauty, emotion and the hidden pressures carried through past, present and future. Michelle’s thoughtful approach has led to solo exhibitions and group shows across the country, with her pieces held in private collections in the UK and abroad.

Discover more talented Suffolk artists like Michelle through Suffolk Open Studios. And if you are looking for a festive creative outing, the Christmas at Clare exhibition is now open at The Old Goods Shed in Clare.
