East Anglia provides much of my inspiration, its landscape a palimpsest of all that has gone before, together with its wildlife, folk tales, buildings and terrain. I work thematically, combining visual elements and ideas from poetry and story: my output is varied in scale and media and is often made on a textile surface, incorporating paint, print, collage or felt.
I studied Art in Brighton and have spent much of my working life teaching art to children and sharing my enthusiasm with adults by giving talks and delivering workshops. I am a member of Ipswich Art Society and exhibit regularly with Textile Art Group Suffolk (TAGS) and Suffolk Creative Freelance as well as participating in Suffolk Open Studios. I have held solo exhibitions at The Spiral Gallery in Debenham.
I offer tuition and creative facilitation to small groups in my top floor studio. Please enquire if you are interested.
