Biography/Details
My name is Jamie Calvert and im 26 years old and living in rural Suffolk.
I'm a textile artist and embroiderer inspired by rural living, folk customs, wildlife and the changing tides.
Taking inspiration from the hedgerows, fields and farms.
Creating original pieces of embroidered art that becomes beautiful homewares and rustic rural fashion.
Using the most natural rustic linens, tweeds and canvas.
All embroidery is free-motion machine embroidered which is like painting with threads. Making each piece of homeware a complete original.
I also create different pieces of art alongside my textiles including silver clay jewellery, wood carving & florestry.
Growing flowers on the farm and selling them alongside my textiles, homewares and gifts.
