Landscapes with special emphasis on trees. Using oils and acrylics to capture colour and light. Suffolk landscapes are my inspiration.
Biography/Details
I moved to Suffolk 5 years ago and began my relationship with painting. After retiring from management within the field of further education Art & Design, I have at last started my journey. I have my own garden studio and spend time almost every day painting from photographs which I take mostly on my walks with my dog. I use oils and acrylics mixing them with a variety of mediums in order to experiment with texture. I love to record the minutest bits of colour I see and love to concentrate of light and contrast.
I also like to use an electronic Dotspen which I use to capture buildings and to study the contrast and tone that I see.
