Biography/Details
I am semi-retired and live in an old farmhouse in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. I have recently completed an art diploma and am now working towards a Painting Degree. Painting allows me to lose myself in the subject, so that everyday concerns recede into the background - it is both restorative and challenging. Sometimes the effort to make the paint do what I want and the challenge to express what I feel can get in the way. At such times I tell myself to step back, relax, take the dog for a walk and stop trying so hard. I generally find that I am then able to come back to the work with new eyes.
