I moved to East Suffolk some three years ago. The proximity of the coast and wonderful birdlife constantly influences my work. Bronze and stone sculptures frequently take bird forms whilst the huge skies and dramatic seas inspire my painting.
Recently, beach walks on the East coast have taken my work in another direction. I collect beach detritus, including plastics, palm oil, tar, nylon etc, to make sculptures that highlight the plight of our local wildlife and habitat.
Formerly, I lived and worked in Leigh on sea on the Thames Estuary, regularly exhibiting with Atelier gallery. My work has also been exhibited at the London Art Fair with Askew Fine Art, Katherine House Marlborough, Belgrave St Ives and Market House in Cornwall and numerous others in SE England. Recently works have been with Piers Feetham gallery Aldeburgh as guest artist, Gallery East Woodbridge and I have exhibited in the Courtyard Gallery Aldeburgh.
