I rediscovered my love for painting in 2020, seeking an escape from lock-down and finding it through my art. After sharing my work with friends and family I ended up doing lots of commissions for pets and a couple of people's homes.
In December 2024, we moved from East London to Suffolk, and I’ve recently taken early retirement from work. I’ve always loved the sky—watching the clouds, and the colours in sunrises and sunsets—and Suffolk offers some truly wonderful skies for inspiration. I'm currently enrolled in an art course that has introduced me to various mediums and techniques, as well as some wonderful people! I'm also planning to take a portrait course later this year. I already have a collection of my own portraits of people I admire, from Queen Elizabeth to Morgan Freeman.
Painting is my joy, my escape, my meditation, and my release.
