I am fascinated by myth, stories, creation and how as humans we connect to meaning beyond ourselves in this world.
I began dreaming of painting large, abstract canvases. And I followed the call.
I went to Kesgrave, then Northgate. I grew up in Suffolk and it is part of who I am. I studied English and French at Sussex, and spent a year in Paris. I love to travel, to discover new places, to immerse myself in worlds.
When I create I feel at once connected to myself and everthing. It is a way of escaping and coming home. Presence and flow. This connection is how I paint and in a way, what I paint. I allow the otherworld to flow through me into my work.
Part of my process is a sketchbook practice I call Wild Art Journaling. It is truly my anchor, my way back into to creative flow, and my happy place. I teach and share this process in person and off line.
