Biography/Details
I gained a Woven textiles degree at Farnham school of art and an Art teachers diploma from Leicester.
My experience has been teaching art in secondary schools, including A-level and in Adult Education.
A former life drawing tutor of many years, I am now a practising artist working from my studio in Walpole, Suffolk. My work mixes colour and texture with observation and narrative.
Working intuitively, I explore the creative process to build up an image using paint, pastel, print and collage.
Colour texture and shape are featured in both my mixed media work and in the tapestries.
