I am a self-taught artist originally from Essex but now based in Ufford, Suffolk.
Much of my art has been focused on portraits, particularly well known celebrities in the music and film industry, along with creatives and historical figures. I largely work in acrylics in an expressive style and enjoy using a palette of bold colours to create strong, eye catching imagery.
Most of my artwork’s focal point is the face which I like to paint on a large scale. I find the diversity of faces fascinating and the fact that every face relects something unique about us. My aim is to create a powerful effective representation of iconic personalities through colour.
In addition to my portrait paintings, I have taken on commissions for pet portraits, landscapes and abstract projects.
I enjoy experimenting with a wide variety of materials and techniques, constantly pushing my practice in new directions. My work is ever-evolving, driven by curiosity, exploration and a desire to communicate through bold visual language.
After moving to Suffolk, I joined Woodbridge Art Club, where I have since had the opportunity to exhibit my work.
