Suffolk born, and feeling most at home in the county. I live in Ipswich and work in a purpose built studio. From a career in graphic design, my original love of drawing and painting now takes centre stage. I studied at Ipswich Art School, High Street where I fell in love with life drawing.
I've held successful exhibitions in Felixstowe, Ipswich, Snape, Aldeburgh, London Kensington and at Earsham Hall. A full archive of my work can be found on my Instagram account and a smaller selection on the Suffolk Open Studios website.
Mediums used in my work can be charcoal or graphite and I love to paint in oil. I afford myself the freedom to choose my subjects, they can vary, I'm not limited to one but prefer charcoal for figure drawing and oil for the outside natural world.
Art is the way I experience the unphysical world, to stand outside everyday things, and give meaning beyond language.
