Porcelain tiles inspired by Susie's sketchbook drawings. Each tile is a unique one-off. Fired to 1260 degrees centigrade in an electric kiln and painted with ceramic colours, slips and glazes.
Susie trained at Cheltenham, and spent many years as an art teacher before setting up her own studio, making and selling her own work and teaching ceramics and printmaking to adults and children.
Susie is the author of "The Art of Handbuilt Ceramics" published by the Crowood Press.
Susie is a member of the CPA, The Suffolk Craft Society and the Ipswich Art Society. Her ceramics and paintings have been exhibited widely throughout the UK.
In recent years Susie has concentrated on her porcelain tiles and her mixed media paintings. The latter inspired by her love of ceramics and nature.
Currently her work is available at the Lion House Gallery, Lavenham, and the Cooper Gallery, Mistley Quay, Manningtree. Group exhibitions with Craft Society and Art Society.
