Biography/Details
Artist Statement – Tom Palmer
Tom Palmer is a local Suffolk sculptor working in limestone, slate, marble and alabaster. He loves to develop each piece by exploiting the fault lines and shapes that appear to him in the stone. Tactile polished surfaces contrast with the natural surface texture of the stone which when combined with the light shining on and through the work create reflections and shadows that give an added dimension. Tom's sculptures are direct carved working in harmony with the natural colour and texture of the stone to create unique pieces.
