Contemporary handmade silver and gemstone jewellery
Jewellery made from explorations of Suffolk using natural objects to create forms and textures in silver with splashes of colour
Biography/Details

Originally from New Zealand, and trained and working as a photographer, I have always enjoyed representing the flora and fauna around us.  Creating jewellery using traditional silversmithing techniques, incorporating gemstones and some gold provides a chance to explore shape, form and texture in a tangible form in my garden studio.

As a keen gardener from a family of gardeners, I enjoy recreating the shape and texture of leaves and petals, and accompanying the end pieces with stories from folklore, science and literature.  Becoming a beekeeper during lockdown, these amazing insects have provided fresh inspiration as well as being able to use their beeswax as a tool.

Daily dog walks provide a greater diversity of textures and patterns to discover, a favourite is using beach pebbles as hammer-stones in our beach explorations of sand, sea and still waters.
