My work is contemporary and mainly figurative and I work in a variety of different media particularly collage and monoprint. Mark making, layering and texture are often used in one unique piece of work. I like experimenting and pushing the boundaries to develop my work further. I also enjoy working in watercolour and pastels.
I am a long standing member of the Colchester Art Society. I exhibit my work in and around East Anglia and have shown work at - The Aldeburgh Art Gallery, Artspace in Woodbridge, Peter Pears Gallery in Aldeburgh, The Pond Gallery in Snape, Firstsite in Colchester, The Minories in Colchester and The John Russell Gallery in Ipswich. I have a studio in an old converted outbuilding in my garden. Inspiration for my work comes from the everyday surroundings at home, in my garden, the natural world and out in the landscape walking my dog. I have run art workshops and classes at a variety of venues such as Art in Aldeburgh, Old Bank Studios, private venues and from my own studio. I have run children's workshops at Gainsborough's House, The Art Society, Colchester and the Mansion House, Ipswich to name but a few.
