Mill Tye Gallery

A unique destination for contemporary art, sculpture, handmade glass and ceramics, gifts and artist cards, set within a historic mill building beside the idyllic River Stour in Great Cornard, just outside the market town of Sudbury, Suffolk. With origins dating back to the Domesday Book of 1085, the gallery enjoys spectacular views across the Stour and surrounding water meadows.

The gallery hosts a rolling programme of exhibitions featuring local contemporary artists, printmakers, sculptors and ceramicists.

During June, we are delighted to host an Artist in Residence, Rowan Collinson, whose practice will be evolving on site. Visitors during Suffolk Open Studios 2026 will have the opportunity to see work in progress, gain insight into the creative process and engage directly with the artist. Alongside this, the gallery will present a curated selection of contemporary artworks, offering a rich and varied viewing experience.
